Histograph intends to make desirable realities visible as though they were real
Histograph intends to make desirable realities visible as though they were real. In Histograph, one sees what one would like to see happening in the world as if they were actually occurring in reality. Histograph fabricates the ideal and documents it as factual. The image is the outside world. The signifier is the signified and has real meaning. Visual images, like those in the media and the internet, are emerging more real today than actual reality. Histograph builds on that notion and manipulates visual images as realities in themselves. Visual signs are themselves the references. By already seeing the look of preferable reality, Histograph may help to realize that reality in the real world, causing the content of images to exist in actual reality. Histograph is not just a copy of reality, it is the instrument to invent and alter the world altogether. The finger is now the moon.
